About Us

PTNJ is owned and operated by John Lee PT, DPT and Nick Manoy, CSCS. 

 

Since 2011, Nick and John have developed a functional recovery model in managing care for athletes, including pre or post-surgical injury, recovery and pre/off/in-season training specific to the sport/activity.

John Lee

John began his career in orthopedics in 2009 after having attained his Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.

 

His educational background includes an Exercise Science degree from Rutgers College at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, and his Doctorate degree from the joint program at Rutgers University in Camden and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford.

John is experienced in treating a broad spectrum of orthopedic injuries and post-surgical conditions. His background in rehabilitation includes treatment of patients in acute and sub-acute settings for burn trauma, general surgery, women’s health issues, as well as, bedside treatment in the ICU. He is experienced in the assessment and administration of neuro-dynamics and neural mobilization as treatment interventions for orthopedic ailments. His primary focus and strengths are in the treatment of sports-related conditions and injuries for athletes, particularly for golfers.

 

His dedication to professional excellence continues to drive an ongoing pursuit in clinical experience and knowledge in rehabilitation.

Nick Manoy

Nick is a Graduate of Hofstra University where he earned his Bachelor of Science as an Exercise Specialist.

​

He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).

​

Throughout his career, Nick has gained experience in a variety of settings working with clients that range from professional & college athletes to elderly individuals with special needs.

​

Being a strong believer in the health and wellness benefits of exercise, Nick prides himself in creating individualized programs that specifically address his clients' needs.

​

Nick began his experience working as an athletic training intern for the New York Jets in 2007. After graduating college he began work at Institute 3E in Huntington, New York.  Through the years he has continued to gain experience in a variety of settings that range from private facilities to collegiate athletic programs.  He has been featured in several local articles as well as magazine prints highlighting success he has had with clients.
